DESCRIPTION: Pseudobaileyi a species in the genus Tillandsia. This species is native to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. This species was described by Cecelia Sue Gardner in 1984. Pseudobaileyi is a medium sized species with firm, thick leaves relatively thin at the level of the limb which is marked with longitudinal lines, much more visible than Tillandsia baileyi. Due to this species firm leaves, it is very difficult to accidentally break a leaf. The color of the leaves varies from green to purple depending on the brightness.  When blooming, Pseudobaileyi produces a short spike with pink bracts with purple flowers.
