DESCRIPTION: This is the rarer purple form of aeranthos. This form also does not get as large as the normal variety. They grow to be a few inches at their largest. Tillandsia aeranthos is native to the regions of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. It is an epiphytic bromeliad that typically grows on trees. This is a very hardy plant that we recommend for beginners. The small stem of this plant also makes it quite versatile for using in arrangements.
