SIZE: Medium - approx 2"-3" with thicker form than regular ionantha.
DESCRIPTION: Ionantha Guatemala is a species of plant in the genus Tillandsia. This species is native to Central America and Mexico. It is also reportedly naturalized in Broward County, Florida. Tillandsia ionantha was described by Jules Emile Planchon and published in Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe between 1854 - 1855. In nature, Tillandsia ionantha has been found growing in both xeric and mesic tropical habitats. This makes the species very beginner friendly as it tolerates a wide range of light and watering routines. These are natural blushing colors. If you order during off bloom season, we use a plant safe, transparent floral dye to enhance the natural color of the plant.
