DESCRIPTION: Tillandsia chiapensis is a captivating air plant species native to the Chiapas region of Mexico. This particular Tillandsia species stands out with its distinctive appearance and unique growth habit, making it a sought-after addition to any plant collection. This is the largest form of Chiapensis, getting to 1.5ft or larger. Ours are grown using slow release fertilizer balls called nutricote - there may be some undissolved ones still tucked within the leaves so don’t be frightened if you see them. They are often confused for a bug egg or something of the sort.

Tillandsia chiapensis features long, thin, and gracefully arching leaves that can range in color from vibrant green to various shades of silver or gray. The leaves are covered in fine trichomes, which give them a fuzzy or velvety texture, enhancing their visual appeal. The plant's overall form is compact and symmetrical, making it an aesthetically pleasing choice for displays.
